• Feature Description:

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)  is a type of question that can be used in quizzes, This type of question is objective, so variations in marking due to subjective factors are eliminated; they are good for testing factual knowledge; they are easy to mark, with total parity across students and therefore are marked and scored electronically.

From your Account click on Questions from the left menu , Add New Question type MCQ.

  1. Write The tag/tags that suit the question topics
  2. Select the course template(subject  for the whole stage) the question should be added to
  3. The name of the question type you are currently working on
  4. Select the difficulty of the question
  5. Rich Text Editor 
  6. This button allows adding attachments to the Question head.
  7. Correction and display options
  • Tick multiple choice if there is more than a correct answer.
  • Tick strict mode to correct the answers in a strict mode.
  • Tick "Shuffle answers" if you want the system the automatically shuffle the answers for each student (All students will have the same set of choices but in a different order)

8. Fill Those fields with the choices you want the student to choose from and Tick next to the correct answer(s),You can also add a formula or Picture in the choices

9.Click on "Bucket sign "to delete the choice.


10. Click on "+ Add new choice" to add an extra choice below the existing choices.


11. If this question requires a justification Tick next to "Require justification "


  • Once you require a justification, some options appear concerning student's answer, next to each option is a box where you will write the limit you permit for the student as follows:
    • No limit: Student can answer as long/short answer as he/she wants.
    • Word Limit is to limit the student with a limited number of words when they are answering this question.
      • Character Limit is to limit
         
        the student with a limited number of Characters when they are answering this question, be aware that space is considered a character



10. Click on the "Cancel" button to go back to the previous page without saving changes

11. Click on the "Preview" button to show how will it be seen by the students after adding to a quiz.

12. Click on the "Add" button to save and go back to the previous page 




  • Feature Tips:

    • In this type of question, students can select multiple answers, make sure you specify if you want your students to select "All" correct answers or just one. 

    • A minimum of 3 choices must be added, but no maximum.

    • The model answer of justification will be only used as guidance while correction and will be displayed to students in quiz review- after completion-. The justification part of the question will be waiting for your correction manually to be graded.
